Roshni “Rush” Bhatia is a filmmaker in California. Growing up in Mumbai, Rush was inspired by filmmakers like James Cameron and Ridley Scott and writers like Richard Matheson and Rod Serling. By the age of 21, while Rush’s shorts were making the rounds at film festivals, she conceptualized and directed several Bollywood music videos which have garnered millions of views. With a wide range of storytelling from sci-fi to horror, Rush went to the US to study film.

Rush has several films currently in the festival circuit, with selections at Leeds, Dances With Films, Cinequest, and more. Her one-minute short film, Dark Passage, shot on an iPhone, won the #SixtyScarySeconds competition at Raindance Film Festival and has been singled out for praise by Hollywood heavyweights, including Die Hard screenwriter Steven E. De Souza. Rush has also been nominated for Best Writer by the Horror Writers Association of America for her short film, Plasmid. She also had her short story featured in an Alien vs. Predator anthology called Ultimate Prey.
